Long Time No Travel

24th December 2021, Friday

Ahhhhh!! It's been more than two years since my last travel to Malacca and i guess it is the same for many of us due to the entry of a new virus called COVID-19 that affecting us globally. This annoying virus has came into our lives and made all the healthcare workers very busy for the past 2 years too.

A very big thank you to all of the front-liners (if you are the one) for supporting everyone to tide and cope with this virus. This must been very hard in terms of physically and mentally for all of you.

Many things has happened and changed for the past 2 years. Guessed everyone of us had went through circuit breaker measures by having to cope and work in the house and were not able to go out as freely as we used to be. And we no longer can fly to other countries whenever we want. Trace app/tokens, masks and hand sanitizers are our daily must-bring items whenever we go out.1 or 2 metre distance has also become a must for everyone to follow (if not, we will get fine). We went through a 2 months circuit breaker in April to May 2020, and later opened up by having a 3 easing phases. However, the Phase 3 was cut short by the sudden wave of a new COVID variant (Delta). This was quite depressing at that time and the measures were changing every 3 or 4 months due to the unexpected changes brought by COVID virus. And everyone was made to take the vaccines as a fight against COVID virus. But now, we will have to a booster to increase the immunity effectiveness.

Many of us no longer go to school or office. We started to have home-based learning and work from home which many of us have to adapt. We don't see our classmates or colleagues as often as last time. Now everyone just do video calls, I don't even see my new colleagues when i moved to a new company now...hahahaha. We even have to take PCR or ART to attend concerts or go back offices. For now, we can only have a gathering of 5 paxs. I hope it can stay or even open up to more people.

It looks like we will have to fight against this virus for a loooooong time. Now we are facing another new variant called Omicron, which it said to have the ability to spread faster than Delta variant.

Really hope we can fly soon for travel!!!

For now, everyone do take care of yourselves and stay safe. And let's do our part too in preventing the spread of the virus by following the necessary measures. ^_^

Lastly, A MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
